Home to the Himalayas, Sikkim is a state that has often been called a “Traveler’s Paradise”. It is also known as the only brother of seven sisters in the east.The state is famous for
dazzling waterfalls, virgin forests, Tibetan style Buddhist Gompas,
alpine meadows, rhododendron flowers and more, but the most beautiful thing there is its valleys. So, lets talk about some of the famous ones.
1. THE YUMTHANG VALLEY
Yumthang valley or the valley of flowers situated in north Sikkim which is 3,500 metres above sea-level is the home of more than 20 species of flowers. It is a nature sanctuary with river, hot springs, yaks and grazing pasture on rolling meadows surrounded by the Himalayan mountains.
2. THE NATHANG VALLEY
Gnathang Valley or Nathang Valley is popularly called the "Ladakh of the East India" a place connected to past. Situated at the height of 13,000 ft. above the sea level Nathang Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Old-Silk-Route. Surrounded by snow-capped hills and mountain landscape.
3. THE CHOPTA VALLEY The Chopta valley has got the majestic view of the snowy peaks, its slopes covered with
pine forest and the grazing fields around the river meandering
throughout the valley, make it an ideal place for the trekkers and
explorers. It is the safe haven for many rare species of birds and
animals, that allures many birders and wildlife lovers to visit this
